EFR Nether is Et Futurum Requiem’s replacement for the standard Nether dimension, implemented via a custom WorldProvider and ChunkProvider.

Entry

The dimension is registered via DimensionProviderEFRNether.init(), which:

1. Unregisters the vanilla provider type -1
2. Registers WorldProviderEFRNether.class as the provider for type -1

Standard Nether portal mechanics (obsidian frame, flint and steel) transport players to this dimension.

WorldProvider Details

WorldProviderEFRNether extends WorldProviderHell and overrides:

• registerWorldChunkManager() — sets NetherWorldChunkManager, isHellWorld = true, hasNoSky = true, dimensionId = -1
• createChunkGenerator() — returns a NetherChunkProvider instance
• generateLightBrightnessTable() — custom brightness curve with minimum brightness 0.002, producing very dim ambient light
• getWorldHasVoidParticles() — returns false
• canRespawnHere() — returns false (players cannot respawn in the Nether)
• canCoordinateBeSpawn(int x, int z) — returns true only if the top block is neither bedrock nor air (prevents spawning inside floor cavities)
• getRespawnDimension(EntityPlayerMP) — delegates to super.getRespawnDimension() (respawn in overworld)
• getActualHeight() — returns 128 (reduced from vanilla’s 256)

Chunk Generation

NetherChunkProvider handles terrain generation for the EFR Nether, providing custom netherrack, glowstone, nether quartz ore, and lava generation features specific to Et Futurum Requiem’s configuration.

Configuration

⚠️ 审计补正 —— 原文遗漏了本条目最关键的事实：按默认配置，这个维度根本不会被接管。

DimensionProviderEFRNether.init() 的调用被双重门控（EtFuturum.java:529）：

结论：默认配置下 DimensionManager.registerProviderType(-1, ...) 不会执行， 下界仍是原版 WorldProviderHell。上表中 Dimension ID -1、 WorldProviderEFRNether、NetherChunkProvider、getActualHeight() = 128 等全部属性 只在玩家手动打开 netherDimensionProvider 且未安装 Netherlicious 时才成立。

该配置项自身的说明还注明两点：若装了 Netherlicious 会「partially ignored」， 且把每个 biome ID 设为 -1 或关闭该开关都能阻止 EFR 下界群系生成。
